We are a nonprofit organization 501(c)(3). All advocates and consultants donate 10% of their special education advocacy service fees. All donations are tax deductible and go towards those who cannot afford our advocates and consultants' service fees. We welcome the opportunity to serve as your Educational Consultant and/or Special Education Advocate.
We assist parents who require full-time, professional Individual Educational Plan (IEP) and 504 Advocacy services but cannot afford these services due to financial income or hardship in both the public and private educational setting in the State of Florida. We offer full and partial scholarships for the families that reside in the State of Florida and a discounted rate for those who need our services outside of the State of Florida. If approved for a DMECA scholarship the amount is paid to one of our Educational Consultants and/or Special Education Advocates.
Scholarship requests are reviewed and approved by the Board of Directors based on: services required, demonstration of need, and any other pertinent issues bearing on the problem. Applicants must provide the necessary information for the service provider for our Board of Directors to approve the release of funds to the provider for the required services. We offer one scholarship monthly as approved by the board.
If you or someone you know is in financial need and may benefit from an IEP and/or 504 Advocacy Scholarship, please email us at: info@debramitchelleca.org
We do not want to turn any one away who is in need of our services. We offer IEP and 504 Advocacy Scholarships based on financial need in the State of Florida. Please schedule a consultation if you are in need of our services.
