At Debra Mitchell Educational Consultant and Associates, Inc. -DMECA, we specialize in working with students from Pre-K - College. Unlike most consultants and advocacy groups, we are educational administrators, certified educators, and service providers. We consult with you on your concerns, offer educational expertise and together, we will advocate towards your child’s best educational options. Our expertise is based on over 40 years of experience in education. We believe in service and welcome the opportunity to consult with you regarding your concerns. We specialize in working with students who have experienced trauma and with students who have disabilities under protection from the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act (504). 

We can address any educational concerns Pre- K - College, whether the student has or has not been identified to have a disability. If you are looking for educational options, we can guide and assist you in successfully finding options that best fit your child’s needs in any aspect of education. Your child does not have to have a disability for us to assist. If your child's rights have been violated, we are here to hold all stakeholders accountable, right the wrong, and strategically develop a plan for your child to move forward. 

We can assist in serving as a member of your legal team, on behalf of your child with educational options and serve as an expert witness.
